What Is Green Energy & Why global transition is Important?

What Is Green Energy : The entire world is facing the wrath of climate change, and renewable energies are a great option as we advance to cut global emissions. Renewable energy is the source of clean, inexhaustible energy. They differ from fossil fuels in many ways ranging from the abundance and potential for use anywhere on the planet. They have preferred the major factor because they do not produce greenhouses gases that are the primary source of climate change. Also, in recent years, the cost of renewable sources has fallen a lot, and fossil fuels have increased a lot.

What is Renewable Energy?

Renewable energy is those sources derived from natural resources that replenish themselves and do not get exhausted, as with the case of fossil fuels. These resources include solar energy, wind energy, tidal energy, and thermal energy. These have the benefit of being available in one form or another and are virtually inexhaustible. The most important thing is that they don’t cause any environmental damage.

On the other hand, Fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and resources are available in finite quantities and deplete very quickly. The way we are using them, they are bound to get exhausted shortly, and also, one thing to note here is that natural processes renew these resources.

Why It Is Important

Green energy is important in today’s generations as the pollution level in the world is rising, and we have to act today to save the environment. As this energy is derived from natural resources, they are renewable and clean. They also release far fewer greenhouse gases than fossil fuels and cause less level of pollution. This is good for the planet and is also better for the health of people and animals living in the same environment. These energy sources have cheaper prices as these sources are often produced locally and have no impact due to the global supply and demand effect.

Final Words

The transition from a non-renewable energy source to a system based on renewable technologies will have a very positive economic, social and environmental impact. It is believed that by the year 2030, 57% of world energy needs will come from renewable energy sources that will be extremely necessary for meeting the Paris Agreement targets in the coming years.
